So, apparently one can still get classic Lister/Jag style Dunlop wheels in repro cast aluminum. So very sweet, but a bit too rich for my blood.

Not grossly so , from Realm Engineering. Image Split Rims, also not terrible if they can be found.

When is it not the case when dealing with replica or 'styled-like' parts, compared to concours-correct reproductions?
Aftermarket is affordable... factory-spec, utmost-correctness, factory-branded parts are BIG money.

Oh yes. Anyone who can afford a D-type certainly doesn't mind too much on some things. It's still a bit more of a % leap than the leap from, say, normal correct style tires to the original mold ones at Coker or similar - presumably because a tires-correct Chevy is still a Chevy and not a Jaaaag.
